Under the direction of the medical director and occupational health leadership team the WFH Occupational Health Manager has primary operational responsibilities for all F&MCW external occupational medicine practice(s). This position leads a multidimensional team of occupational health nurses, licensed practical nurses, medical assistants and office assistants in the delivery of occupational medicine services for employers/clients. This individual will be responsible for assuring the effective and efficient coordination of department functions including pre-placement physicals medical surveillance, work injury care, exposure follow up and other employer-related health and safety programs. This position is responsible for managing and staffing related to all external occupational medicine practice(s) and the development of and adherence to department budgets. This individual will be accountable for process improvement strategies. This position will also be responsible for collaborating with F&MCW internal occupational health leadership and staff on specific occupational health projects which create efficiencies between F&MCW external and internal occupational health delivery models. Examples of such projects include the use of the Agility occupational health software, system-wide drug & alcohol testing scheduling and billing. Other duties as assigned.
