Job Summary and Qualifications
Our team of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) is dedicated to providing exceptional patient-centered care. Working alongside physicians, they function independently in all aspects of patient care within occupational health clinics and on-site locations. Our APPs include Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Certified Nurse Midwives. They are valued members of our hospital patient care team, providing a high level of medical care and performing surgical tasks within the scope of practice as determined by the state and clinical privileges granted by the hospital/entity. What you will do in this role:
Evaluate each employee as designated by the Employee Health and Safety Program and written standards, on a consistent basis.
Assist with the pre-employment screenings for new employees.
Maintain a confidential file on each employee.
Follows OSHA standards for Blood-borne Pathogens, FRC and implements immunizations and exposure follow-up as needed.
Assist with annual employee health requirements including TB testing, fit testing, vaccinations, as well as management of employee injuries.
Responsible for all aspects of the Employee Health and Safety Program.
What qualifications you will need:
Master’s degree from an approved advanced nurse practitioner program. Nurse Practitioners who graduated on or after October 1, 1998, must have completed requirements for a Master’s degree or post-master’s certification. Applicants who graduated prior to the applicable date are exempted from this requirement
Minimum of 1 year experience as a ARNP preferred
Current licensure in the state of Florida as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner
American Heart Association BLS
3-5 years prior Occupational Health experience required.
