Town Hall Overview:

Welcome to the Achmed Software Discussion Group, where healthcare professionals gather to share their experiences, insights, and questions about Electronic Health Record (EHR) software. In this blog post, we will dive into a fascinating discussion that took place during one of our recent sessions. We will explore the challenges and considerations when choosing between SysDoc and Agility, integration with other systems, and the customization of reports.

Choosing the Right EHR Software:
Deciding on the right EHR software for your healthcare organization can be a daunting task. During our discussion, participants shared their experiences and considerations when choosing between SysDoc and Agility. Norton’s Amy McCullough raised a crucial question about transitioning from Epic and inquired about the merits of both options. The audience contributed valuable insights, highlighting the benefits and shortcomings of each system. It was evident that the decision-making process should reflect the specific needs and workflow of each organization.

Integration with Audiometry Equipment and Other Systems:
Another key topic discussed during the Achmed Software Discussion Group was the integration of EHR software with audiometry equipment. Participants shared their experiences with brands such as Benson and AudioMetrics. The attendees also discussed the challenges and advantages of integrating with other systems, such as Epic. It was apparent that certain interfaces, like ADT (Admission, Discharge, and Transfer), orders, results, and reports, played crucial roles in streamlining processes and improving patient care.

Customizing Reports:
One of the fundamental aspects of any EHR software is the ability to generate meaningful reports. Our discussion delved into the extent to which standard reports met the needs of the participants, and whether customization was required. Participants shared their views on Agility and SysDoc, highlighting their experiences in terms of creating and tailoring reports. It was apparent that while standard reports were often useful, customization was necessary for specific billing, business development, and analytical requirements.

Support and Customer Satisfaction:
A recurring theme throughout the discussion was the level of support provided by the vendors and the overall customer satisfaction. Participants praised SysDoc for their excellent support over the years, with good response times and personalized assistance. However, some participants faced challenges when working with Agility’s support team, citing slow response times and limited assistance. The experiences shared by the Achmed Software Discussion Group members highlighted the importance of understanding the quality of support before selecting an EHR software vendor.

The Achmed Software Discussion Group provided a unique platform for healthcare professionals to come together and discuss their experiences with EHR software. The insights shared during the discussion offered valuable guidance to organizations navigating the complex landscape of EHR systems. From choosing between SysDoc and Agility, considering integration with other systems, and customizing reports, to evaluating the level of vendor support, the Achmed Software Discussion Group highlighted the multifaceted considerations when implementing or transitioning EHR software.

As technology continues to advance and healthcare systems evolve, staying informed about the experiences and insights of others can be immensely beneficial. The Achmed Software Discussion Group serves as a testament to the power of collective expertise in navigating the challenges of EHR software selection and implementation.

I can’t access the poll, however, we are very happy with Systoc IT support. They have been wonderful and respond quickly

Providers seem to do well with Dragon
In Systoc your orders are pdf. Can use a staple and send, simple to send
Agility
Enterprise is one of the vendors we are looking in to
Desktops unfortunately
We are looking into another Vendor
Yes, Larry!
We don’t use any dictation software
Combination of both
Thank you!
Yes- Systoc , I have had to reach out to them several times and have had good support.
Dragon, but only for EPIC (which we use for work comp). We use NetHealth Agility for other work and do not have a dictation option.
We have had Agility here since I came 4 years ago; I was previously on Systoc at other organizations for many years and really liked it.
I would suggest as you working with new vendors and they state they have the ability to do things such as integration, ask to see in practice and find other users that are using it
We use the drug reporting software in Systoc
Fluency Direct
It drops in all demogrphics needed and diagnosis
Laptops with Systoc. Some are using with desktop.
WE use desktop stations in the clinic, but we have tablets that we use for some functions.
docnewf2@aol.com
Thanks!
Systoc customizes reports well
We customized our orders with drop down menus
We also can access Systoce from personal laptops at home.
No interface – but working really hard to get one!
I think there can be for audio depending on equipment. We do not but we track our standard threshold shifts in Systoc and issue a report signed by doc.
We use Dragon with Agility
Correct
We customized our orders with drop-down menus
A couple of us use laptops, but most use a desktop in the room
Our vaccines interface with Epic. We use Agility
We have been with Systoc always. Since Dr. Newkirk
Agree with that statement
Agility has been a major issue with pricing and financials along with IT support. Really hard to get a straight answer from them lately.
We have team members who really like the reports in Agility…I’m much less of a fan.
We do not use EPIC
We currently have Agility and are looking for other EMRs at this time.
Tremetrics RA500
Also it is nice to go back and hook laptop to larger monitor.
Agree with you, Cari – we also have to enter the audio info and spirometry results. It may be easier than vision…
We switched from systoc to Enterprise Health
Good to have this opportunity to hear from others – thank you!
I use a system laptop and go easily from one employer site to another
Agility promised that integration was coming with the Ear Scan. We purchased Ear Scan’s for all 11 clinics and 5 years later, the integration is still not available
Billing and Business Development have to customize reports and piece things together.
The reporting may depend on system requirements.
We have limited IT support from our system for Agility. We struggle to get them connected with the Agility team and get good answers.
We either scan the report or the team enters separately
(Like emoji)
We have a request for a lab and radiology interface into our IT, but it is lingering in the queue.
We either scan the report or the team enters it separately
Does your lab use Softlabs?
Dragon, For EPIC but not for Systoc
So do we!
We had limited customized reports with Systoc and one of the reasons we left…they wanted to charge us for each customized fields
Yes. Those are vendors with who we are intergrating
Agility was sold as being very intuitive, but it’s not. For example, if a provider writes an order for PT or MRI, we then have to go through a 9-step process to convert the order to a PDF that can be sent to the insurance carrier.
With Systoc you can develop your own pdf if you have Adobe Professional
We use laptops and desk top.
We have had multiple issues with Agility as we’ve used it over the last 5 years. The IT support is slow and not very reliable.
We use Wyse terminals
And the clinicians have to enter the Snellen vision screening results in 3 different places in Agility. Just small examples that add minutes to our busy days.
The Tap2CHart is intuitive
Yes. It is integrated with all system software
Thank you everyone!
It is 3rd party vendors with whom we have issues working with our IT dept
We have no integration with EPIC and Systoc. We use iSystoc for company profiles across sytem
We use Systoc for drug screen reporting
The audio report is generated from the audiogram, under reports in Systoc
It has excellent templates. Well organized clinically
Does Systoc have an employer portal?
We seem to have good support from Systoc over 25 years
