Results from the 2017 NAOHP National Benchmarking Survey are in, giving occupational health professionals a bigger picture of their industry than ever. This year the volume of data increased even further over 2016, which was in and of itself a record-setting period. Over 380 programs responded this time, showcasing that even though there is widespread variance among programs throughout the country, many organizations have aligned goals.
“Many of our members understood that the more programs who participated in completing this survey, the more beneficial it would be for everyone!” said Cindy Ross, president of NAOHP.
“Participants ‘got the bigger picture’ by making the time, and we appreciate their perspectives. We all have a great deal to learn from one another.”
NAOHP conducts its annual survey to help build upon the strengths of occupational health, identify and improve weaknesses, and help pinpoint areas where industry experts feel more attention should be given. Considering that there is such a great deal of difference between programs from one state to another, comparing the survey results against one’s own findings can help members identify how their programming stacks up to other occupational health entities across the country and evaluate their own performance along similar metrics.
If you or your organization would like to see how you compare to others across the country, the complete NAOHP survey results will be on the NAOHP.com home page in the “Members Only” section.
