This caught my eye today: MedExpress Selects AthenaHealth. I’m evaluating several EMR/Practice Management products for urgent care centers. The ones geared specifically towards urgent care are Practice Velocity and DocuTap. Greenway is on my shortlist because of some interesting ways it handles disease management, but may have more “primary care” functions than we need for urgent care.
A big struggle for me all these years is finding a system that handles both urgent care patients as well as occupational medicine – none seem to do that well, or at least to my satisfaction. I’d be interested to know why MedExpress switched, and what were they using before (anyone want to chime in?) What systems are you using in your urgent care, what do you like/dislike about it? What do you wish it could do better?
