Finding Joy

Many of us are ready for 2022, while some may be feeling the tension and stress just from surviving the holiday season. As I reflect on all of the challenges we have faced, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, I have made a commitment to myself for 2022. I am going to make a conscious effort to find joy in the work I do, not only personally, but professionally.

Transitions

Changing jobs can be intimidating, anxiety-inducing, nerve-racking, and just plain hard. At times change is forced on you by a layoff, and at other times it is by choice. I’ve survived both and at the end of the day, both situations lead to better opportunities.

2022 NAOHP Conference Awards

We wrapped up another great NAOHP conference in Charleston, South Carolina with over 175 in attendance. The conference provided a variety of topics including customer services initiatives, financial analysis, sales/marketing, personal leadership, and best practices within the field.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has learned that some Medical Examiners (MEs) listed on the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (National Registry) are completing the driver’s Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) incorrectly. To correct any misunderstandings, FMCSA is providing the examples of completed MECs below.
