Information is everywhere. But does it all effectively communicate what we want patients, customers, and clients to know, and do we put out so much information that important messages get buried or not timely updated?
When we started in urgent care in the early to mid ‘80’s, our challenge was awareness. No one knew what urgent care meant. We knew we were creating a place people could go instead of the emergency room for “minor emergencies. Obviously the industry has matured and evolved, but not all for the better.
Mental health resources are at the peak of the pyramid when it comes to employee needs. Extra mental health PTO days, EAP benefits, and a promised positive work-life balance culture are all very important offerings when trying to keep your workforce productive and well.
Changing jobs can be intimidating, anxiety-inducing, nerve-racking, and just plain hard. At times change is forced on you by a layoff, and at other times it is by choice. I’ve survived both and at the end of the day, both situations lead to better opportunities.
I recently had the honor of presenting at the 2022 National Association of Occupational Health Professionals (NAOHP) National Symposium in Charleston, SC.
We wrapped up another great NAOHP conference in Charleston, South Carolina with over 175 in attendance. The conference provided a variety of topics including customer services initiatives, financial analysis, sales/marketing, personal leadership, and best practices within the field.
